Light never disappears completely. Part of it remains retained within the irregularities of glass, suspended as variations too faint to fully belong to the visible. What passes through certain surfaces sometimes seems unable to leave them entirely. As though every appearance deposited behind itself a residual quantity of information, trapped at the threshold between reflection and disappearance.

There are depths where images persist without ever fully returning. Nothing emerges there directly. Only incomplete luminous densities, contours oscillating between presence and dissolution, maintained within a region where erasure never becomes absolute.

Forms return there in fragments. At times there appears a depth without clear origin, the fleeting impression of a face absorbed by the surface that once contained it, or of empty rooms seeming to retain something of those who passed through them. Not memories, but residual presences maintained in latent form within the specular layers of the physical world.

As images gain precision, they paradoxically become more distant. What reappears already carries the distance of its own erasure. Light restores less the beings themselves than the time that once moved through them. Something persists despite the absence of any gaze to sustain it, as though certain interactions continued to exist beyond their own visibility.

Perhaps no disappearance is ever complete. Perhaps everything absorbed by reality leaves behind an invisible surface of retention, a silent boundary upon which forms remain inscribed before becoming permanently inaccessible.

Interrupted gestures, faces dissolved into light, traversed spaces continue to exist somewhere, dispersed through the blind angles of the visible. No longer as matter, but as information incapable of entirely ceasing to be.

Absence itself then begins to acquire density.
