INNER CLIMATE
What weather moves through our minds?
The mind never seems entirely stable. Beneath the apparent continuity of consciousness circulate invisible variations, pressure zones, slow turbulences whose most immediate consequences are usually all we perceive. A thought emerges. An anxiety shifts position. An emotion crosses the body before even finding an identifiable form.
Something within mental activity recalls atmospheric systems: precarious equilibria maintained at the edge of disorder, flows impossible to fully immobilize, transitory structures appearing and dissolving within an infinite field.
Certain cartographies reveal unexpected reliefs. One sometimes finds abnormal concentrations, regions saturated with activity where information seems incapable of fully dissipating. Other areas remain cold, almost silent, as though certain parts of the psyche still escaped any clear mode of appearance.
Thoughts no longer move there as distinct ideas, but as shifting masses traversing an inner geography in perpetual recomposition.
Mental states seem less to belong to a stable subject than to a set of circulations moving through the cranial enclosure. Moods, desires, memories, and anxieties become phenomena of condensation, provisional formations briefly maintaining coherence before dissolving once again.
The currents silently reshape our idea of identity. We may inhabit only temporary conditions of stability within systems far larger than ourselves, even as certain storms continue to echo long after their center has passed.
